Dark Void is an upcoming video game being developed by Airtight Games and published by Capcom on Unreal Engine 3 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Windows. In the game players must face an alien threat that humanity had previously banished. The game mixes on-foot and mid-air combat. It also features a unique Vertical Cover system which allows the player to take cover while looking up or down. In one video released by the developer, the main character, Will, is shown flying his jetpack into a generator, and taking cover at the bottom of ledges, firing up at enemies above him.

Red Dead Redemption is the follow-up video game to its predecessor Red Dead Revolver released in May 2004. It is being developed by Rockstar San Diego. It was officially announced on February 4, 2009. It is set to be released sometime between February and June 2010.

The game is set in 1908; it focuses around a former outlaw, John Marston, who is sent across the troubled American Frontiers to help in bringing the rule of law. The game will use open world gameplay similar to the Grand Theft Auto series with sandbox environments and a free-roaming ability. The environments will include frontier towns, prairies, and mountain passes.

Realistic horses created with the Euphoria physics engine will play a major part of the game's transport, and there will be over 40 different types of animals that can be hunted and realistic weather changes including seasons and the ability to ride trains to go to certain places faster than free roaming.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction is the fifth installment in the Splinter Cell video game series. The game is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal, developers of Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and the sixth generation versions of Splinter Cell: Double Agent.

Splinter Cell: Conviction was originally scheduled for release on November 16, 2007, but has since been the subject of several lengthy delays. The latest of these delays occurred on July 27, 2009 when it was announced in Ubisoft's official sales report that the release date was pushed back into the first quarter of 2010. The game is currently due for release on February 23, 2010 in North America and February 26, 2010 in Europe.

Darksiders is a video game being developed by Vigil Games. The game takes its inspiration from the apocalypse and battle of armageddon described in the Book of Revelation, a chapter in the Christian Bible, with the player taking the role of "War", one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse.

Darksiders is primarily a combat action game, with weapons such as giant swords and miniguns available. War also regains his powers throughout the game, and has his own mount, a horse called Ruin.[5]

The powers and horse which War must regain play an important role in the game as they enable him to access areas of the world which would otherwise be closed to him.[4] A wrath meter similar to the musou gauge in the Dynasty Warriors series fills up as War fights and gives access to powered-up and special moves.[6]

Action takes place both underground where puzzles play a large role, and above ground in which free roaming is allowed. A demo of the game was shown at Comic-Con 2009.[5]

Although early impressions have led journalists to compare the game to God of War and Devil May Cry due to its strong combination of combo based sword combat and guns,[7] designer Joe Madureira has likened it to The Legend of Zelda series.

Would you really classify Splinter Cell as a game that is not well known or talked about? Otherwise great list.

I would consider it less talked about, unfortunately.
There's almost no hype surrounding these games, at least when compared to the other big-hitters due soon.

I've forgotten some games, so I'll be adding to the list pretty soon.

Maybe not on this forum but Battlefield BC2 is huge on major forums like GAF. Especially after recent events like dedicated servers being take out of MW2

out of that list, I'm really looking forward to Splinter Cell, RDR, and Mafia II. Actually, those are the only games that I plan on buying next year so far.
